What to expect after a peel

  • Your skin will be red or tight for the first 24 hours or so.

  • Your skin may darken or even develop brown patches during the process.

  • It can take up to 5-6 days to heal completely and see the full results of the peel.

Taking care of your skin after a peel

  • Avoid applying makeup the day of treatment, as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest overnight.

  • Stay as cool as possible and avoid aerobic exercises for the first 48 hours.

  • Avoid the sun completely until your skin is fully healed. Apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) daily, as your skin will become more sensitive to the sun.

  • Gently cleanse your face with water or a mild cleanser twice a day.

  • Apply a gentle moisturizer twice a day or anytime your skin feels tight, dry, or itchy.

  • Avoid hot showers, hot tubs, steam rooms, or saunas.

  • Do not apply any type of exfoliation products, as this can severely damage or irritate the skin during the entire healing process.

  • Do not peel, rub, or scratch your skin, as this will cause damage and compromise your results.

  • Do not apply ice or ice water to the treated area.
